In 2023, LinkedIn is likely to be another golden year for LinkedIn, the social media platform for working professionals. It can be seen that over the past two years, the platform has adapted to become more user-friendly, changing many designs to look more modern, hoping to expand its user base.

In a recent article by Tomher Cohen, Chief Product Officer of LinkedIn, he revealed improvements and new feature updates in 2023 that will help general users, creators, brands, and marketers who use the platform have a better experience. What are the details? What features or updates are worth watching? Let’s take a look together.

1. Share Newsletter Feed Pages with Others

The Newsletters feature is another highlight of LinkedIn. In fact, the newsletter feature is very popular, especially among foreign users, because the content is mostly summaries of interesting news in short writing form, with headlines, links, and a few illustrations. Anyone who uses LinkedIn is probably familiar with it.

This update will move the feature to the profile page and create a link for subscribing, making it more convenient to share on other social media, email, or websites.

2. Increase Visibility of Newsletters Both Inside and Outside the Platform

In this update, LinkedIn wants to help creators publish content more. Through increasing visibility both inside and outside the platform. The first improvement is to improve the Newsletter feature so that it can be easily found through the search results page (Search Result).

For another improvement, LinkedIn now allows you to customize SEO Title and SEO Description. This is a method that relates to SEO principles, which will help boost the website ranking, making it easier for people to see various content.

To edit, go to the article, click on “Publish Menu”, then select “Setting” to edit the title and description immediately.

LinkedIn wants to help creators and users on the platform have better engagement, as well as respond to marketing groups to expand their reach more easily. By posting images or videos and attaching Clickable Links, which is a trick of inserting the desired link. And viewers can click on it, similar to inserting links in Instagram Stories. The recommendation is to copy directly from the URL rather than inserting it manually to prevent errors.

4. Easier Access to Analytics & Content Tools

Previously, LinkedIn launched tools for improving performance and creation. Recently, it was announced that new Analytics Tools will be launched in a few weeks, which will help marketers view insights about various audience reach performances, whether it’s detailed audience insights or profile view data.

5. Schedule Article Posts Now

Previously, LinkedIn launched the Scheduled Post feature, allowing users to schedule posts. But recently, LinkedIn launched a feature called article Scheduling, which will allow users to schedule content such as articles and newsletters in advance.

Concluding Remarks

LinkedIn is one of the platforms with the number of users ranked in the top 5 of social media platform rankings every year. This shows the potential of the platform in being used as an online marketing channel in 2023. Moreover, the platform’s continuous adaptation through feature updates also helps attract new users.
