TL;DR

  • Meta launched Meta One globally on 15 September 2026 with more than 50 features across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI, and says 15 million subscriptions and trials have been taken up.
  • Global pricing runs from 2.99 dollars a month for WhatsApp Plus to 499 dollars a month for the Max business plan.
  • Thai prices published for all nine plans run from 27 baht a month to 10,990 baht a month, with Advanced at 1,099 baht, as reported by Marketing Oops on 16 September 2026.
  • The Advanced tier is the one that changes marketing work: scheduling Stories 30 days ahead, links in organic posts and reels, exportable analytics and team access without password sharing.
  • Meta Business Agent is listed for Thailand on WhatsApp only, which limits the Essential tier's value for businesses whose customers use LINE.

Meta launched Meta One globally on 15 September 2026, a paid subscription service running across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI, with separate tiers for individuals, creators and businesses. Meta announced it on its newsroom, saying the service launches with more than 50 features and that 15 million subscriptions and trials have been taken up to date. Global pricing starts at 2.99 US dollars a month for a single product and runs to 499 dollars a month for the largest business tier. Thai pricing was published separately and starts at 27 baht a month.

The sentence Meta repeated twice is the one businesses should read first: the core experience across its apps and Meta AI stays free. Meta One is not a paywall going up around Facebook Pages or Instagram business profiles. It is a set of paid add-ons, and several of the business-tier ones are capabilities marketers have asked Meta for over many years, including links in organic posts and exportable analytics.

What Meta One actually includes

Meta describes three groups of plans. The single product plans, Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus and WhatsApp Plus, launched earlier this year and continue. The bundle plans for individuals, Core and Premium, combine those single product features with higher usage limits on Meta's more compute-intensive AI tools. The creator and business plans, Essential through Max, add professional tools.

On the individual side, Meta lists recent additions to each single product plan. Instagram Plus added custom fonts for direct messages and Stories, notifications when specific people view your Story, and message previews. Facebook Plus is adding Messenger customisation options, more Reels insights, and super reactions on Reels and Feed posts. WhatsApp Plus will soon test storage for chat and media backups, and Focus Schedules, which mute or hide chats on a timetable.

The bundles add AI capacity rather than new features: more media generation with Meta AI, including images and videos produced by Meta's Muse models, and more use of in-app tools such as Restyle on Instagram. Meta says that in early testing more than half of bundle subscribers used both the AI and the expression features, and that Restyle and voice effects on Instagram were among the top reasons people subscribed.

Global pricing, as published by Meta

Meta gave a full price list in its announcement. Plans, benefits, pricing and availability may vary by region, by app and by account, and Meta says the way to see what applies to a specific account is to start the subscription process.

The business tiers are the part that changes marketing work

Essential, at 14.99 dollars a month and up, is about credibility rather than capability. It carries a verified badge, a verified channel on the WhatsApp Business app and impersonation protection, all pending successful verification, plus an enhanced profile that shows a website, locations and what people say about the business. It also includes more access to Meta Business Agent, which answers customers day and night. Meta lists two organic growth features here as well: a bold follow button on reels, and follow invitations sent automatically to people who engage with the content.

The Meta One Advanced plan, from 49.99 dollars a month, is where the operational features sit. Meta lists scheduling Stories up to 30 days in advance, links in organic posts and reels, exportable analytics, deeper audience insights, giving team members access without sharing a password, more linked devices, more business broadcast credits on WhatsApp, and more Meta Business Agent responses.

Two of those deserve a pause. Links in organic posts and reels have been a structural limitation of Instagram for years, and the workaround industry built around it, the link in bio, exists because of that limitation. Meta has now put the capability behind a subscription rather than removing the limit. Giving team members access without sharing a password is the second: password sharing is a real security problem at small businesses, and the fix here is a paid feature rather than a default.

Expert at 149 dollars a month and Max at 499 dollars a month are described only as the highest levels of feature access and Meta Business Agent capacity for teams managing at scale. Meta did not itemise what separates them beyond quota.

Thai pricing, published separately

Meta published Thai prices for all nine plans, reported by Marketing Oops on 16 September 2026. These are Thai list prices rather than currency conversions of the dollar figures, and at several tiers they are meaningfully cheaper than a straight conversion would give.

Marketing Oops also reported two Thailand-specific details. The Meta One announcement for Thailand lists Meta Business Agent on WhatsApp only, even though the agent runs on WhatsApp and Messenger and is expanding to Instagram. And the Advanced tier in Thailand is described with a cap of 8 links per month in posts and Reels, which is a quota rather than an unlimited entitlement.

Where this lands badly for Thailand, and where it lands well

The WhatsApp limitation is the awkward part. WhatsApp is not the dominant messaging channel in Thailand, LINE is, so the headline conversational feature of the Essential tier reaches the smaller audience in this market. A Thai business whose customers all message through LINE Official Account is paying for a customer service agent on a channel those customers do not use. That makes Essential most useful here to businesses with foreign or cross-border customers, and Marketing Oops made the same observation.

Advanced reads differently. Scheduling, exportable analytics, audience insights, team access without password sharing and links in organic posts are channel-neutral. They are the things a Thai agency or in-house social team does every week, mostly through third-party tools today. At 1,099 baht a month per account, the honest comparison is not against doing nothing, it is against the scheduling and analytics stack the team already pays for.

The verified badge and impersonation protection in Essential carry particular weight in Thailand, where impersonation of brand pages and fake seller accounts are a persistent problem. That is a risk-reduction purchase rather than a marketing one, and it should be evaluated on that basis.

None of this touches paid media. Meta One is a subscription for organic presence, creator tools and AI usage. Campaign structure, targeting and bidding on Facebook and Instagram ads are unchanged, and nothing in the announcement suggests subscribers get any advantage in the ad auction or in organic reach beyond the specific features listed.

What Meta did not say

The announcement leaves several things open, and they are the things a media plan would need.

Meta did not say whether any Meta One feature affects organic reach or distribution. It did not break the 15 million figure into subscriptions versus trials, or by plan, or by country, so the number says almost nothing about business-tier adoption. It did not itemise the difference between Expert and Max beyond quota levels. It did not give quota figures for Meta Business Agent responses, broadcast credits or linked devices at any tier, which is exactly what determines whether Advanced is enough for a given business. It gave no date for Meta Business Agent reaching Messenger or Instagram under Meta One in Thailand. And while it says Edits Plus and AI glasses support are coming, it attached no dates to either.

How to decide, without over-thinking it

  • Work out which channel your customers actually message you on first. If that is LINE, the Essential tier's conversational value in Thailand is limited, and the badge and impersonation protection are what you are buying.
  • Price Advanced against what you already spend on scheduling and analytics tools, per account, per month. If you run five brand accounts, the comparison is five subscriptions.
  • Check the 8-links-per-month cap reported for Thailand against how often you actually need a link in an organic post. For a brand posting a promotion weekly, that quota binds.
  • Treat the verified badge as separate from the feature set. It requires successful verification and its value is defensive.
  • Do not change paid budgets over this. Nothing in the announcement connects a subscription to ad performance, and paid social results still come from creative, audience and measurement.
  • If most of your conversation volume is on LINE, the equivalent investment question sits with LINE advertising and your LINE Official Account, not with a WhatsApp agent.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Meta One cost in Thailand?

Thai prices run from 27 baht a month for WhatsApp Plus to 10,990 baht a month for the Max business plan, across nine plans, as reported by Marketing Oops on 16 September 2026. Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus are 35 baht each, Core is 169 baht, Premium is 679 baht, Essential starts at 319 baht, Advanced at 1,099 baht and Expert at 3,199 baht.

Do I have to pay to keep using Facebook and Instagram for my business?

No. Meta stated that the core experience across its apps and Meta AI stays free, and that subscriptions add further capabilities on top. Meta One is an add-on, not a condition of continued access.

Does Meta One improve my organic reach?

Meta did not say that it does. The announcement lists specific features such as a bold follow button on reels and automatic follow invitations to people who engage with your content, but it makes no claim about distribution or reach for subscribers generally.

Meta lists links in organic posts and reels as a feature of the Advanced plan, which starts at 49.99 dollars a month globally and 1,099 baht a month in Thailand. Marketing Oops reported the Thai entitlement as 8 links per month rather than unlimited.

Is Meta Business Agent available on LINE or Messenger under Meta One in Thailand?

Not on LINE, which is not a Meta product. Marketing Oops reported that the Thai Meta One announcement specifies Meta Business Agent on WhatsApp only, and Meta gave no date for the agent reaching Messenger or Instagram under Meta One in Thailand.

The short version

Meta has turned a decade of feature requests into a price list. For Thai businesses the decision splits cleanly: the individual and creator tiers are a consumer purchase, Essential is mostly a trust and verification purchase with a conversational feature aimed at the wrong channel for this market, and Advanced is a genuine tooling decision to weigh against the scheduling and analytics software already in the budget.
