TL;DR

  • LIVE long-term GMV adds four parts: in-live payments, same-shop buys within 24 hours, non-live TikTok buys within 14 days, and brand-website buys within 14 days.
  • The website component needs a Pixel bound to the account, and the guide warns that tying several shops to one Pixel may double count sales.
  • Data keeps updating for 14 days after a stream ends, while Live Diagnosis still uses a 24-hour window, so one stream can show two sales figures.
  • The guide is US-only and limited to A1, A2 and allowlisted brand merchants; PPC Land notes it has no incrementality testing or paid vs organic split.

TikTok Shop has added a Brand LIVE Impact module to Brand Analytics in US Seller Center, which credits a brand's livestreams with sales made up to 14 days later, including purchases on the brand's own website. PPC Land reported the change on 2 November 2026, citing a TikTok Shop Academy guide published the same day under the title "[Brand Analytics] Brand LIVE Impact Operation Feature Guide". The guide is marked for the United States only, and access is limited to what TikTok calls A1, A2 and allowlisted brand merchants.

The guide itself sits inside TikTok Shop Academy and is not publicly linkable, so this article relies on PPC Land's report on the Brand LIVE Impact guide. Where a point is PPC Land's own analysis rather than TikTok's wording, it is labelled as such.

What TikTok Shop launched

According to PPC Land, Brand LIVE Impact is a new module under Brand Analytics in Seller Center Analytics, tagged "Livestream" in the Academy. TikTok's stated aim is to measure the value of live commerce across three dimensions: how many people the brand's live rooms reach, how much GMV those streams generate over time, and how many new customers they bring in. Results are delivered through dashboards in Seller Center and through email reports.

The module only covers live rooms run from accounts the merchant operates itself, grouped as "Official" and "Marketing" accounts. Streams hosted by creators on accounts the brand does not run are outside its scope. The guide names the A1 and A2 merchant tiers but, PPC Land notes, does not define them.

TikTok's rationale, as quoted by PPC Land, is that teams "usually focus only on instant sales generated inside the live room", and that if they look only at that number, brand decision-makers "may underestimate the return on live commerce investment".

How LIVE long-term GMV is calculated

The central metric is LIVE long-term GMV. The guide gives a formula: Direct GMV plus Indirect GMV plus Onsite Spillover GMV plus Offsite Spillover GMV, measured within a 14-day attribution window. Each component has its own rule, summarised below from PPC Land's report.

How LIVE long-term GMV is calculated
ComponentWhat countsWindow and requirement
Direct GMVPayment completed inside the live roomDuring the stream
Indirect GMVA purchase in the same TikTok shop by someone who browsed or added to cart in the live room24 hours, last-touch
Onsite Spillover GMVA later purchase of the brand's products through non-live TikTok content, such as product cards, short videos or carousels14 days
Offsite Spillover GMVA later purchase on the brand's own DTC website14 days; needs a Pixel bound to the account

Two details matter when reading the numbers. First, the sales components only apply to viewers who interacted in the live room, by browsing or adding to cart. Second, the guide names an attribution model, last-touch, only for Indirect GMV. PPC Land points out that it does not say how a sale is handled if it could fall under more than one component.

LIVE reach users

The second dimension is LIVE reach users, which the guide defines as the deduplicated number of viewers reached by the brand's self-operated live rooms. It counts viewers, not buyers, and a viewer who watches several streams in the selected range counts once.

LIVE-impacted new purchasing customers

The third dimension counts converted users driven by long-term GMV, deduplicated at the live-session level, in four tiers from narrowest to broadest:

  • New to LIVE: the customer's first order placed through the shop's live format.
  • New to Shop: a first order in the brand's TikTok Shop.
  • New to Brand: a first order with the brand merchant on TikTok Shop.
  • New to Platform: a first order across TikTok Shop and the brand's DTC website combined.

The guide warns that these values "should not be added together directly" and do not imply a strict subset relationship. PPC Land notes that the glossary gives no look-back period for deciding what counts as a first order.

Why the same stream can show two different sales figures

TikTok Shop already has a session-level tool called Live Diagnosis, and the new module links to it from its Top 3 LIVE panels. Live Diagnosis uses a 24-hour attribution window. Brand LIVE Impact uses 14 days. So one stream can show one sales figure in Live Diagnosis and a larger one in Brand LIVE Impact. According to PPC Land, the guide says the Live Diagnosis result "should be used only as a reference".

Data takes 14 days to settle

Because of the long window, the guide says data keeps updating for 14 days after a live ends. It defines a Mature Date as the live end date plus 14 days, and advises waiting until data has matured before drawing conclusions. PPC Land worked out what that means for the US holiday calendar: a stream that ends on Black Friday, 27 November 2026, matures on 11 December, and one that ends on Cyber Monday, 30 November, matures on 14 December.

Sessions that run past midnight are booked to the day they started. The guide's example is a stream from 8:00 PM on 10 October to 3:00 AM on 11 October, which is attributed entirely to 10 October.

Two counting modes

Reports can be counted in two ways. "By LIVE start time" includes only sessions that started in the selected period. "By event time" counts by when each purchase happened, which the guide says makes the figures comparable with indirect and spillover GMV shown elsewhere in Seller Center Analytics.

Setup decides what you see

PPC Land reports that the data a brand sees depends on Pixel binding and on what the guide calls "TTMS and TTBC enablement". The guide does not expand those abbreviations. The combinations work like this, according to the report:

  • With Pixel, TTMS and TTBC all in place, the brand gets full data, including Offsite Spillover GMV and the New to Platform tier.
  • Without a Pixel but with TTMS and TTBC enabled, Offsite Spillover is missing, so the total is understated, and the customer view falls back to New to Brand.
  • With a Pixel but without TTMS and TTBC, long-term GMV is unaffected, but New to Brand and New to Platform are unavailable and the customer view falls back to New to Shop.
  • With neither, offsite sales are missing and the customer view falls back to New to Shop.

The glossary carries a warning that "duplicate counting may occur when multiple shops are tied to the same Pixel".

Where the reports appear

PPC Land lists the page modules: a component breakdown with value, share and growth rate; a daily trend chart; a Top 3 LIVE panel covering the last 10 days; a pie chart splitting onsite spillover between product cards, videos and carousels; and account and LIVE filters. The reach page adds a 10-day line chart and a country pie chart. Traffic sources are not in this module and are left to Channel Analytics. Brand leadership gets a "CXO Report" by recurring email, operations teams use the Seller Center page, and account managers get a mirror page plus a shareable CXO Report.

What the guide does not cover

PPC Land lists several gaps in the guide. These are worth knowing before anyone puts a Brand LIVE Impact figure in a board report:

  • No incrementality testing, control groups or holdouts. Long-term GMV records purchases that followed a live interaction, not purchases the stream caused.
  • No split between paid and organic. LIVE Shopping Ads and GMV Max do not appear in the guide.
  • No example values or benchmarks.
  • No rule for a sale that could fall into more than one component.
  • No statement on whether onsite spillover includes affiliate creator videos.
  • No look-back period for the new-customer tiers.

PPC Land's own analysis adds two points. A wider window and more attribution paths can only push the total up, which makes it a bigger number but not necessarily a more accurate measure of return. And comparing a 14-day livestream figure with channels measured on shorter windows, such as a one-day window, is not a like-for-like comparison. TikTok sets the window and the counting rules, and the guide describes no third-party verification.

How this fits TikTok's recent attribution changes

PPC Land places the guide in a run of TikTok measurement changes this year. On 13 May 2026 TikTok announced Attribution Portfolio, citing an average of 5.1 days to convert. On 6 August 2026 TikTok Shop documented Off-site Performance Analysis, covering DTC and Shopify sales over 1, 7, 14 and 30-day windows. Brand LIVE Impact applies the same idea, counting sales beyond the TikTok checkout, to livestreams specifically.

What this means for Thai marketers

The guide is marked for the United States. PPC Land does not say whether Brand LIVE Impact is coming to Seller Center in other markets, including Thailand, and nothing in the report suggests a date. Thai sellers should not expect to find the module in their own Seller Center on the strength of this guide.

The way TikTok has defined the metric is still useful for anyone running LIVE selling in Thailand, because it shows where livestream measurement is heading. A few practical points follow:

  • Session-level LIVE numbers with a 24-hour window are likely to understate a stream's effect if buyers come back days later. If a longer-window view arrives in your market, expect its figures to be higher and to settle over two weeks.
  • If you sell on your own website as well as TikTok Shop, Pixel setup decides whether website sales can be credited at all. Check that your Pixel is bound correctly, and that it is not shared across several shops, which the guide says can double count.
  • Keep paid and organic apart in your own reporting. If a LIVE was boosted with ads, a long-window GMV figure that mixes both will make the stream look better than its organic pull.
  • When you compare LIVE results with search or social campaigns, use the same attribution window for each, or say clearly that the windows differ.

Brands planning TikTok advertising around LIVE events can use this as a checklist for how to read results, whatever the local dashboard shows. For shops that sell across marketplaces and their own site, the bigger question is how each channel claims credit; that is part of any ecommerce marketing plan.

FAQ

What is TikTok Shop Brand LIVE Impact?

It is a Brand Analytics module in TikTok Shop's US Seller Center that measures a brand's livestreams by reach, 14-day long-term GMV and new customers. PPC Land reported it on 2 November 2026, citing a TikTok Shop Academy guide published that day.

Is Brand LIVE Impact available in Thailand?

The source does not say it is. The guide is marked for the United States only, and PPC Land does not mention any other market or rollout date.

Which sales count toward LIVE long-term GMV?

Four kinds: payment in the live room, purchases in the same shop within 24 hours by viewers who browsed or added to cart, later purchases through non-live TikTok content within 14 days, and purchases on the brand's own website within 14 days. The website component needs a Pixel bound to the account.

Why do Live Diagnosis and Brand LIVE Impact show different numbers for the same stream?

They use different attribution windows: 24 hours for Live Diagnosis and 14 days for Brand LIVE Impact. The guide says Live Diagnosis results should be used only as a reference, and Brand LIVE Impact data is only stable 14 days after a stream ends.

Does Brand LIVE Impact show whether a livestream caused the sales?

No. PPC Land notes the guide includes no incrementality testing, control groups or holdouts, and does not separate paid from organic viewers, so the metric shows purchases that followed a live interaction, not purchases the stream caused.

Bottom line

Brand LIVE Impact gives US brand merchants a bigger, slower number for their livestreams: 14 days of credit, including website sales, settling two weeks after each stream. The guide is marked for the United States only, and PPC Land does not mention Thailand or any rollout date.
