TikTok Begins Testing ‘Search Ads’ Beta Feature

This is good news for marketers looking for new marketing opportunities. Last week, there was news from a tweet by David Herrmann (a renowned Media Buyer at Herrmann Digital) stating that the popular video sharing platform, TikTok, has started testing the Search Ads feature in beta to expand advertising reach to viewers and benefit marketers worldwide.

TikTok Tests Search Ads Beta Feature

According to Herrmann’s testing of this feature, the purchased video clips will be labeled as “Sponsored Clips” and the videos will appear above the “Others Searched For” column, meaning that general viewers can see these videos more easily.

Furthermore, Herrmann commented on this change of TikTok, saying, “In testing, you can display ads in the Search Result channel more easily, and that will help increase reach to target audiences through search. It also creates opportunities to generate clicks for brand ad campaigns and, of course, will result in increased spending on reaching more ad viewers.”

For marketers looking for new channels to present ad campaigns, don’t forget to keep an eye on this change of TikTok because remember that TikTok is one of the platforms that has had the most influence on turning views into sales for brands in the past decade.

However, if anyone still cannot use this feature, don’t be surprised. Because this Search Ads beta feature is still limited to certain users only.
