Search with Images and Text Simultaneously with Google Multisearch

Many users of Google who search for information have probably heard of Google Lens, which can use images to search for information. Now, it’s exciting news for users as Google has expanded the functionality of Google Lens, called Google Multisearch, which will add a new dimension to information searching by using both text and images simultaneously.

Often, we look for clothes suitable for the upcoming summer season, perhaps finding a style we like but not the right color. This article will introduce you to the new Google Multisearch feature that will help solve these problems.

Google Multisearch: A More Advanced Search

According to Google’s latest announcement, “Google is always dreaming up new ways to find the information you need. That’s why today, we’re introducing our newest feature, Multisearch, which will help elevate the search experience by allowing you to use text and images at the same time, and adding a new dimension.”

For using the Multisearch feature, Google gives an example of searching for a clothing style you are interested in but want a different color. Simply adding the text “Green” to the image will allow you to search for similar styles but in green. Or even taking a picture of a breakfast meal and adding the text “Coffee Table” – the system will instantly find a coffee table suitable for the breakfast set. Currently, Multisearch can be used through the Google application on both Android and iOS devices by pressing the Google Lens icon, taking a photo as usual, and then pressing the + Add to your Search button to add a search term. However, this feature is still in beta and only available for searches in English in the United States.

While Google releases new features, brands or marketers may need to start studying how to access products in this new format from Google more. Whether it’s desktop search, mobile search, voice search, image search, and now Multisearch, to prepare for future online marketing planning.
