According to the survey, in 2023, as many as 91% of brands and businesses used video content as one of their marketing strategies, which, compared to previous years’ surveys, is historically high.

In 2023, 96% of marketers viewed video as an essential part of a marketing strategy that would help brands achieve good results in the long term.

The most prominent thing is that 92% of marketers unanimously stated that doing Video Marketing can increase ROI for businesses in a satisfactory way. It may be due to the approach of creating video content that most marketers now understand, as well as methods of tracking and evaluating results.

In 2023, 90% of marketers revealed that creating video content helps generate leads more effectively, or in other words, turning potential customers into actual customers.

Furthermore, 87% also saw that video content can truly increase sales of products or services.

Moreover, 96% of marketers unanimously stated that video content can help increase consumer understanding of how to use products or services. It is noteworthy that regarding the creation of understanding through video content, it has never fallen below 93% since 2015, which is another important aspect of using video content as an online marketing strategy.

For marketing metrics that most marketers prioritize when evaluating results, the number one ranking still goes to the number of views received, which is the most popular at 63%, followed by:

  • Leads/Click Throughs (56%)
  • Brand Awareness (43%)
  • Customer Retention (42%)
  • Bottom Line Sales (26%)

Interesting Trends in 2023

According to the study, as many as 70% of marketers were not yet using video content in their marketing strategy in 2022, but plan to start in 2023. In addition, 99% of marketers who do Video Marketing currently state that they will continue this approach in 2023.
