Google Ads Video Policy Update

To protect users, Google has quietly updated the Video Policy on October 19. This updated policy relates to certain types of content that cannot be used for advertising campaigns on Google Ads. This policy is called “Unavailable Video” and includes four main points:

These Google policies help explain to many marketers why some video content marketing campaigns may not be able to advertise. To help them correct and proceed according to the requirements.

Google Performance Max New Feature Update

Google launched new features on Performance Max Campaigns to help marketers run campaigns more effectively during the upcoming holiday season. Including:

  • Can now be used with Performance Planner. Now, users of Performance Max Campaigns can use the Performance Planner tool to help predict the results of campaigns running on Performance Max. Previously, Performance Planner could only be used on campaigns on Search, Shopping, Display, App, Video, and Local Campaigns.
  • Asset Group Scheduling. Now, Asset Groups on Performance Max can use Automated Rules to group assets together to wait for the campaign to run at the desired time.
  • More Headlines. Google increased the number of Headlines on Performance Max from 5 to 15.
  • Additional descriptions for Online Sales Campaigns. Google added specific descriptions for Online Sales campaigns on Performance Max, which will include analysis of products and best-selling items.
  • First-Party Audience Insights. Google added Data Segment for audience insights, helping you find customer groups that are likely to increase conversions for your campaigns.

Google Ads Podcast Placement Update

Placement on Google Ads is where your ads will appear. Each placement has different effectiveness and campaign objectives. According to Google’s latest update, there is an update for running campaigns on podcast content type.
