The plan to track cookies and present advertisements by grouping user data, or FLoC (Federated Learning of Cohorts), will be immediately abandoned after Google faced heavy criticism regarding user privacy, as well as browser developers such as Brave, Vivaldi, Edge, and Mozilla did not agree.

But what if advertising changes based on collecting data according to user interests, such as Fitness or Travel & Transportation? Google claims it will collect this data from the latest 3 weeks of browsing history and that this data will be stored on the browser itself, not sent back to Google’s servers. And when users visit websites that support the new advertising format, the ads displayed will be limited to your areas of interest. Rest assured about security!

Google also stated that there are currently up to 350 advertising topics in the inventory, and in the future, it may expand to thousands! Of course, there will be no advertising related to sensitive issues such as gender and race. If you use Google Chrome, you can customize the topics or even turn off the display (the result is the same advertising display, just less accurate!).
