For those who have experience adjusting Ads Campaigns on Google Ads, many people are likely familiar with another tool that looks and functions similarly, Google Ads Editor, which is a tool for marketers to adjust numerous campaigns. Recently, Google Ads Editor has reached version 2.2, even though Google just released version 2.1 not long ago in July. What will the details of this version 2.2 be like? What will be added and what will be removed? If you’re ready, let’s take a look.
What is Google Ads Editor?
Google Ads Editor is a tool for managing advertising campaigns specifically. It’s similar to Google Ads, but the difference is that Google Ads Editor needs to be downloaded to use, allowing it to be used at any time, whether online or offline.
A prominent feature of Google Ads Editor is its ability to adjust campaigns from selecting keywords to setting desired budgets, all the way to more complex settings such as editing demographic details.
New Features on Google Ads Editor Version 2.2
There are 12 items added and improved on version 2.2:
- Asset Library
The Asset Library on version 2.2 has been improved so users can benefit from this feature more, such as:

- Supports Network Logs
Supports explaining API error logs in an easy-to-understand format.
- Fixes Out of sync
Now, Google Ads Editor will periodically check whether your user account is synced. If not, the system will prompt you to sync your account immediately.

- Select countries for Sale Optional
- Supports Optional feed label
- Video Campaign Budgets
Now, Google Ads Editor will have an algorithm to calculate Video Campaign Budget according to Target CPA.

The Basic Support feature will appear in Recommendations > Other Recommendations.
- Optimized Targeting Function Replaces Targeting Expansion Function
From now on, in Google Ads Editor, in the Ad Group section, you can enable the Optimized Targeting function instead of the Targeting Expansion function.
In addition to the various features that have been added and improved, Google Ads Editor also has the Gmail Display Campaign Support feature that will be removed in version 2.2.
Conclusion
