Connecting Shopify and YouTube Step by Step

Before connecting your YouTube Channel to your Shopify store, you need to meet certain requirements:

If your channel meets the above criteria, you can connect it immediately. Here’s how:

  1. Log in to your account on YouTube Studio
  2. On the left menu, select Monetization
  3. Click Shopping
  4. Click Connect Store
  5. Click Shopify
  6. Click Continue

The system will then take you to your Shopify page, where you’ll log in and select Add App to add the Google Channel to Shopify.

Next, follow these steps on Shopify:

  • After adding the Google Channel on Shopify, click Add Sales Channel in the upper right corner.

  • Add your Google Merchant Center account.

  • Click Complete Setup

At this point, both platforms will be fully connected. The final step is to connect your products so they can appear on YouTube.

  • From the previous step, click Get Started
  • Click Continue (make sure your YouTube channel meets the requirements)
  • Select your channel
  • Read the agreement and click Complete Setup

After this, the process will verify whether your products comply with Google Merchant Center policies. This may take several business days. Once completed, you will see your products appear on your YouTube Channel and can adjust them to appear in specific videos as needed.
