Thanks to the explosive growth of TikTok, the wildly popular short-form video-sharing app from China, in just 2 years since its launch, it is no surprise that brands have been jumping on board to add another channel to their marketing communications, putting an enormous amount of advertising money into circulation on the platform.

But now TikTok has announced the launch of TikTok Pulse, a new solution for creators to earn revenue from ads on the platform. So what does this change from TikTok look like? What is TikTok Pulse?
TikTok Pulse is a tool designed to share revenue with creators by giving brands the opportunity to use it to run ads, while creators who produce content get the chance to earn a revenue share of up to 50%, provided the creator has a minimum of 100,000 followers.
In addition, TikTok is adding further incentive for brands by claiming that the ads brands run through the TikTok Pulse tool will appear within the top 4% of content across 12 recommended categories, for example:
This will result in general users seeing more ads without having to waste time on any complicated additional setup. TikTok Pulse will first become available in June in the United States, after which there are plans to expand it to other countries during Fall 2022.
As we all know, in 2022 anyone who doesn't have the TikTok app installed is considered seriously out of touch, which means brands and marketers simply cannot afford to overlook it. The introduction of the latest tool, TikTok Pulse, offers new ways for brands to gain more visibility, while the very generous 50% revenue share for creators serves as an excellent incentive to keep attracting new creators to produce content on the platform going forward.
