Following an announcement of a new LinkedIn feature update by Geri Silver, a Creator Manager, it has been revealed that LinkedIn is now rolling out a new feature that allows users to add links to images. This image link helps drive more Website Traffic, boost sales, or fulfill any other goal that a brand or marketer might be hoping to achieve. What are the details and usage limitations? If you want to find out, let's take a look together.

Creators Can Now Add Image Links

LinkedIn is one of the most popular platforms among working professionals. Today, the LinkedIn platform has a combined total of more than 50 million user and company accounts, making it another channel well suited to online marketing. That said, we have to admit that LinkedIn does not offer as many features to support marketers or brands as other social media platforms do. Over the past several years, however, LinkedIn has rolled out additional new feature updates, whether it be an algorithm update or the Creator Mode feature, demonstrating a new and more open approach for marketers or brands that are looking for a platform to do online marketing.

And most recently, LinkedIn has updated a feature that allows users to add links within images, ensuring that this feature will help drive more Website Traffic for creators who want it.

From the image, which is a report posted on Twitter by Lindsey Gamcle, a marketing expert, you can see that this new feature lets you instantly insert any link into an image on a post. The link inserted into the image is displayed as text whose size users can choose to adjust. In addition, you can add certain emojis to decorate it and make it look more appealing.

When Can You Start Using This Feature?

For now, the feature for adding links to images can only be used on posts created in the LinkedIn mobile version.  It is not yet available on the desktop version, but users on any platform are able to see and click the links within the images.

In addition, the feature is being rolled out gradually, starting with only some users first. So if you find that your account is eligible to use this feature, you will see a chain-link icon button when creating a post. But if you cannot use it yet, don't be disappointed. We believe that LinkedIn will likely begin giving users full access within the next few weeks for certain.

Summary

For brands or marketers who are already using the LinkedIn platform as part of their online marketing strategy, you can now prepare to use the image link feature right away. It is ideal for brands that are looking for a way to boost their Website Traffic by attaching the link they want within an image on their content. Then you simply wait for viewers to take interest and click through to visit your destination website. This is certainly another way that can help improve the effectiveness of your marketing strategy amid the high level of competition.
