TL;DR
- TikTok's About Creative Center help page, updated July 2026, lists Top Ads, Trends (trending hashtags) and three Symphony tools: Creative Studio, Automation and API.
- Creative Center is free and needs no login, but logging in creates a Personal Profile with My Collections, Ad Authorization Management and Material Library.
- Every ad in Top Ads was authorized by its advertiser in TikTok Ads Manager, per TikTok's About Top Ads page (May 2025), so it is a sample, not a full competitor library.
- Top Ads filters include Region, Objective, Ad Language, Ad Format and Likes, with Sort by For You, Reach or CTR; Thai data availability varies, so check it live.
TikTok Creative Center is the free hub of ad ideas and creative tools run by TikTok for Business. You use it to look at high-performing ads, check which hashtags are trending and generate ad videos with AI tools. TikTok's About Creative Center help page says no login is needed to access it, though it recommends logging in to get all the features, data and insights.
This article covers which tools Creative Center offers as of July 2026, according to TikTok's own help pages. It also covers how to use Top Ads to find example ads, where to look for trending hashtags, how Creative Center differs from TikTok Ads Manager and Business Center, and what limits the data has before you build a plan on it.
What TikTok Creative Center is and who should use it
Think of Creative Center as a creative library and workshop, not a place to run ads. You cannot create campaigns, set budgets or choose audiences there. That work happens in TikTok Ads Manager. What Creative Center does is help answer questions before you start shooting: how ads in your category open, which video formats they use, and which hashtags are getting attention right now.
Several groups get value from it. Business owners new to TikTok advertising use it to see what ads on the platform look like. Creative teams use it to find story structures and editing rhythm. Marketers who manage budgets use it as the starting point for hypotheses they then test in a real ad account.
What tools are in TikTok Creative Center
TikTok's About Creative Center page, last updated in July 2026, groups the content into Inspiration, Trends, Creative Tools and Personal Profile.
Top Ads
Top Ads sits under Inspiration. TikTok describes it as a collection of high-performing creatives from the platform. When you open an individual ad, you see that ad's performance details. The About Top Ads help page (updated May 2025) says there is a second-by-second graph you can use to find the moment of highest engagement in the video. The same page states that every ad in Top Ads has been authorized by its advertiser inside TikTok Ads Manager. That matters a great deal when you interpret the data, as the limits section below explains.
Trends
The About Creative Center page says briefly that Trends displays trending hashtags. Many older guides also describe trending songs, creators and videos in this area, but the July 2026 help page does not mention them, so check the live menu on the day you use it to see which tabs are there.
Creative Tools: the Symphony suite
The creation tools in the current version all carry the Symphony name. TikTok's help page lists three.
- Symphony Creative Studio is an AI video generation tool tuned for TikTok content.
- Symphony Automation handles jobs ad teams face all the time: generating more creatives, refreshing existing assets and resizing content. It includes features such as Recommended Creatives.
- Symphony API is for developers who want to embed Symphony's AI video engine in their own systems, to automate video translation, generate avatars and audit performance at scale.
Personal Profile
When you create a Creative Center login, you get a personal profile, opened from your avatar in the top-right corner. It holds your Creative Center account ID; My Collections, for saving favorite Top Ads in sets; Ad Authorization Management, for checking whether your own ads are authorized to appear in Top Ads; and Material Library, which stores videos made with the editing tools.
Where did Keyword Insights, Top Products and Creative Insights go
If you have read older Creative Center guides, you will have seen Keyword Insights, Top Products and Creative Insights listed under Inspiration. The July 2026 About Creative Center page no longer names these tools, and opening the Keyword Insights help link takes you back to the About Creative Center page. The reasonable reading is that TikTok keeps restructuring the tools in this hub. If your workflow depends on one specific tool, check the live interface first rather than relying on an article written long ago.
How to use Top Ads to find ads that work in Thailand
The Top Ads page has several layers of filters. The labels shown on the page are Region, Objective, Ad Language, Ad Format, Likes and a Search box, and the Sort by options are For You, Reach and CTR. The About Top Ads help page adds that you can filter by Industry. A practical sequence looks like this.
- Open Top Ads and set Region to the country where you will advertise. The country list in the filter can change over time, so check whether Thailand is available on the day you use it. If it is not, pick a nearby country and treat what you see as inspiration, not as a picture of the Thai market.
- Set Industry to match your business and Objective to match the campaign goal you will actually use. Ads selling products online and ads chasing app downloads are built very differently.
- Use Ad Language to filter for Thai-language ads if you want to see how brands talk to Thai audiences.
- Switch the sort between Reach and CTR. The ads that reached the most people and the ads that got the most clicks are often different sets, and they reflect different goals.
- Open an ad that interests you and look at the second-by-second graph. Find where engagement peaks, then note what happens on screen at that point, for example the product being shown, a price appearing or someone talking to camera.
- Save useful ads in My Collections, grouped by project, so you can review them with your team later.
When you review example ads, record patterns instead of whether you liked them. Useful fields to note: what the first three seconds open with, total clip length, whether there is a person on screen or only product footage, how much on-screen text there is, and what kind of CTA closes it. Once you have 15 to 20 ads logged, repeating patterns start to stand out, and the log becomes a brief the production team can work from.
How to find trending hashtags and songs for ads
The starting point is the Trends menu, which TikTok's help page says displays trending hashtags. The useful way to read hashtags is to understand what people are talking about, then ask whether your brand has a genuine reason to join that conversation. Pasting a popular hashtag onto an unrelated ad does not make people more interested in the ad.
Songs need more care than hashtags, because a song that is popular on the platform is not automatically cleared for use in ads. TikTok has a Commercial Music Library for business accounts and advertising. Before you put a track in a creative, check that it is licensed for commercial use, because personal-use music rights and ad music rights are separate matters. If Creative Center has a popular songs tab on the day you use it, treat it as background information, then pick the actual track from a library you have rights to use.
When you read trends, look at direction more than rank. A hashtag that climbs fast can disappear within days, while producing a single ad takes several days. If your company's approval process is long, chasing short trends gives you clips that ship after the moment has passed. Brands like that do better choosing themes with a longer life, such as story formats audiences already know.
How Creative Center differs from TikTok Ads Manager and Business Center
These three tools have similar names and live in the same TikTok for Business system, but they work at different stages. The table below summarizes what each one does, as TikTok describes them.
| Tool | What it is for | Account needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Creative Center | Browsing example ads in Top Ads, checking hashtags in Trends and generating videos with the Symphony tools | No login required, but logging in unlocks more features and data |
| TikTok Ads Manager | Creating and running campaigns, choosing objectives, setting budgets, targeting and reporting | An ad account is required |
| Business Center | Managing business assets such as ad accounts, team members, access permissions and TikTok Shop connections | The business must create a Business Center |
Top Ads is where the three connect. An advertiser has to grant authorization in Ads Manager before an ad can appear in Top Ads, and you can check that authorization status in Ad Authorization Management inside Creative Center. When you work as a team or with an agency, all of the access permissions are managed from Business Center.
How to use Creative Center data to plan ad creative
Data from Creative Center can help you form hypotheses, but it cannot prove what will work for your brand. A workable sequence goes like this.
- Start from the campaign goal. Decide which objective you will use in Ads Manager before opening Creative Center, then filter Top Ads to match it.
- Collect examples systematically. Log the patterns of 15 to 20 ads in a sheet, using the fields from the Top Ads section above.
- Turn them into two or three hypotheses. For example: "Opening with the customer's problem in the first two seconds will hold viewers longer than opening with the logo." A good hypothesis has to be measurable.
- Produce test versions. Make several creative versions that differ in one element at a time. Teams with limited production capacity can use Symphony Creative Studio or Symphony Automation to make extra versions or resize them, but check the Thai text, translations and product details every time.
- Test in Ads Manager. Use the same budget and the same audience so that any difference comes from the creative alone.
- Let your own account decide. The figures on Top Ads belong to other brands, with budgets, audiences and products that differ from yours.
An illustrative example (not real data): an online skincare shop filters Top Ads by beauty, Thai language and CTR sort, and notices that many ads open with before-and-after skin shots. The team makes two versions, one opening on skin footage and one opening with a person talking to camera, and tests them on equal budgets. The result from the shop's own account is what drives the decision; Top Ads was only the source of the idea. If your product category has specific ad rules, such as rules on results claims, check TikTok's advertising policies before copying any pattern.
Limits of Creative Center data
Creative Center is useful, but you need to know where the data comes from and what it does not tell you.
- It is a sample, not the whole market. The About Top Ads help page says the ads in Top Ads were authorized by their advertisers in Ads Manager. Ads from brands that did not grant authorization will not be there, so you cannot use Top Ads as a complete library of competitor ads.
- You do not see the context. You see the creative and the performance details TikTok chooses to show, but not the budget, the audience or the offer behind the ad. An ad with a high CTR may owe it to a deep discount rather than clever editing.
- Country coverage is uneven. The country list and the volume of ads per country change with time and filters. Before you conclude anything about the Thai market, check that Thai data is actually available that day and that there is enough of it.
- The tools change often. Keyword Insights, which used to sit under Inspiration, does not appear on the July 2026 help page. Do not build a workflow that depends on a single tool without a fallback.
- Trends do not suit every brand. A trending hashtag only tells you what people are interested in. It does not tell you that those people will buy your product.
TikTok Creative Center in the Thai market
For Thai brands, there are two things to check. The first is how much Thai data is available. That changes with time and filters, so there is no fixed answer; you have to look for yourself. If there are few Thai ads in your category, combine the Ad Language filter set to Thai with a look at other countries in the region, and keep a clear line between what is Thai data and what is only inspiration from abroad. The second is language. Creatives made with AI tools need their Thai checked every time, including spelling and tone, especially on-screen text and captions, where Thai viewers can tell at once that something was translated from another language.
Many Thai sellers also sell through TikTok Shop. Example ads in Top Ads with a different objective from yours may use a completely different story structure, so always set the Objective filter to match your real campaign.
FAQ about TikTok Creative Center
Does TikTok Creative Center cost money?
No, it is free. TikTok describes Creative Center as a free, public hub of creative resources. You can enter without logging in, though logging in gives you fuller access to features and data such as My Collections and Material Library.
Can I see every competitor ad in Top Ads?
No, because Top Ads only shows ads their advertisers have authorized in TikTok Ads Manager. Ads without that authorization do not appear, so use Top Ads to find ideas, not to track all of a competitor's ad activity.
Does Creative Center have data for Thailand?
It depends on the filters on the day you use it. The Top Ads page has Region and Ad Language filters, but the country list and the number of ads shown can change, so check the live interface to confirm Thailand is available and has enough ads before drawing conclusions.
Can Creative Center replace TikTok Ads Manager?
No, they do different jobs. Creative Center is for ideas and producing creative, while creating campaigns, setting budgets, choosing audiences and reading real results all happen in TikTok Ads Manager. You use the two together.
Summary
TikTok Creative Center fits the stage before ad production. Use Top Ads to see how ads in your category tell their story, use Trends to see what people are talking about, and use the Symphony tools to help produce test versions. Then take your hypotheses into Ads Manager and let your own account's numbers decide.
