LinkedIn, the well-known platform for working professionals, reportedly announced the launch of new tools for creators over the past week, along with improvements to certain features. Creator Mode: A Handy Tool for Marketers
Creator Mode is a feature that launched in March 2021 and now has more than 5.5 million users. LinkedIn states that using this feature helps users gain more than 30% more Engagement.

For this first new tool, it helps users who use the Creator Mode feature to measure the performance and growth of their content more conveniently, in order to help adjust various marketing strategies. Creators can track the results of their content over time, whether it's Likes, Impressions, or content Engagement, and check it instantly. In addition, they can examine many other in-depth insights as well, such as Demographic data, Downloadable Analytics, and so on.
- Subscribe To Notifications
It's finally here: the subscribe button for gaining followers. Creators are certain to hit the like button for this tool, because now users can press the Subscribe button to follow a creator's new content so they don't miss out on interesting content. Of course, this update is beneficial for both creators and users. Suffice it to say that this change is like hitting two birds with one stone.
- Newsletter Featuring
Over the past year, LinkedIn experimented with letting creators use the Newsletter feature.
This led to a rise in usage, so it's no surprise that this change improves access to Newsletters even further, by allowing creators to feature their own Newsletter on their profile page. This makes it easier for general users to find their content.
Existing Features Enhanced with Updates
- Post Analytics
For the Post Analytics function, improvements have been made to provide greater clarity of data by adding Summary Pages. In addition, the metrics have been redefined, with "Views" being counted when content or an article is opened and read, and "Impressions" being the number of times the content or article post is shown.
- Profile Videos
Creators can now use a video in place of a profile picture. It will be surrounded by a blue ring to indicate that it is a video, and you can check the number of reaches for the video profile picture. However, this video profile picture can only be created on mobile.
