Google Analytics 4 Launches a New Homepage: Let's See What Features It Offers

Google has launched a brand-new Home Page for Google Analytics 4 (GA4), noting that this newly developed Home Page will gather a range of user behaviors and present them as the essential data you need right on the Home Page. This makes it more convenient for users to access various features from a single page.

Accessing the Home Page

To access this new Home Page, click the Home button on the left-hand tab of Google Analytics. 

You will find that this new Home Page is divided into 5 key sections, which are:

Overview

The tab in the upper left displays a line graph showing how your statistics change from day to day, based on user behavior, helping you put this data to greater use in planning your digital marketing. For example, if you want to know how much Total Revenue has changed over the past 7 days, or to see how much people's purchasing behavior varies from day to day, simply set the tab below to Last 7 Days. You can then click to view the trend line (solid line) with data points for each day, which you can instantly compare against the data points from the previous 7 days (dotted line). 

Realtime 

Through the processing of Google Analytics 4's algorithm, the Realtime tab on this new Home Page helps us manage various activities as they happen and immediately check the impact on your advertising campaigns or website pages. It displays the information that users need, for example:

Advertisers can use the data obtained in this Realtime tab to analyze their online marketing plans, such as whether new content you have just changed on your website is increasing the number of visitors, or whether a promotional campaign is attracting more viewers, and so on.

Recently Viewed

The Recently Viewed section displays the pages you have recently used along with the time you last accessed them. For example, if you just visited the Admin Page, Google's algorithm will add this page along with a link that takes you straight to the Admin Page, helping you work faster and more smoothly.

Because You View Frequently

In the "Because You View Frequently" tab, the algorithm calculates from the activities that users regularly perform across different working pages and displays them so they can be accessed more conveniently. For example, Google Analytics 4 will process and display the "New users by First user medium" tab if you regularly view the "User Acquisition Report" data.

Insights

The Insights tab displays Unusual Changes, Emerging Trends, and other in-depth information related to your website or advertising campaigns, because Google believes that sufficient Insight helps advertisers produce high-quality advertising campaigns.
