Link building is the practice of earning links from other websites to improve a site's authority and rankings.
Sustainable methods include creating link-worthy content, digital PR, and genuine outreach, rather than buying low-quality links. For example, publishing original research that journalists cite naturally attracts authoritative links. Relevance and quality of the linking site outweigh sheer volume.
The most reliable link asset is information other people need and cannot get elsewhere. Original data qualifies, and so does a genuinely useful free tool, a benchmark from your own client base, or a clear explanation of something complicated that everyone else covers badly.
